
As a link between real estate and capital market, real estate investment trusts (REITs) are showing unprecedented vitality and huge market potential in the current era of real estate inventory in China. In order to explore the global trend of REITs market and the development path of REITs in China, and to cultivate top-tier talents in China's REITs industry, NYU Institute for Cities and Real Estate in Emerging Markets at NYU Shanghai and NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate REIT Center have jointly launched the "New York University Shanghai 2024 REITs Advanced Certificate Course ".
The course is delivered by senior professors and industry experts from NYU and NYU Shanghai, and is divided into 10 modules, which are conducted through a combination of online live streaming and offline face-to-face teaching.
Participants will start from the development history and historical performance of REITs market in the United States and Asia, and study in-depth the valuation methods and management strategies of REITs. On this basis, participants will systematically learn and master the leading knowledge and technology system of Chinese REITs in terms of characteristics, structural design, origination process, selection of underlying assets, valuation and pricing, legal and tax framework, asset management and risk control. Executives of outstanding domestic REITs companies, industry leaders and representatives of regulatory authorities will also share case studies and hold closed-door seminars on how REITs can promote the development of China's real estate financial market, providing participants with face-to-face communication opportunities.
