Bo Gu is a founding member of the NYU Institute for Cities and Real Estate in Emerging Markets (ICREEM), overseeing operations and academic affairs. She is also a research and teaching associate, primarily focusing on PropTech. With a master's degree in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Bo has extensive experience in the real estate and PropTech industries.

Before joining NYU Shanghai, Bo worked in the United States, leading digital transformation efforts in construction projects and implementing innovative technology solutions. Following this, Bo transitioned into the PropTech sector, taking on senior leadership roles in multinational unicorn startups, where she drove product innovation and business expansion. Her work in PropTech involved bridging technology with real estate, optimizing property management processes, and enhancing investment strategies through digital solutions.
